about the fest!
renmin fest is a fic fest dedicated to nct dream's huang renjun and na jaemin! the purpose of this fest is to give opportunity for creators to make more and new renmin/jaemren content through the classic prompt/claim style fest, along with other special events such as fanweeks and bingos! above all, we aim to promote renmin fics and their lovely authors, and celebrate all forms of renmin content that comes our way.this fic fest operates on korean standard time (KST, UTC+9). all listed deadlines and times on the account will be under this timezone, and if you need help converting, ask us or look up a timezone converter online! the mods will also occasionally post equivalents in eastern standard time (EST, UTC-5).if you are a creator and have a piece of work that is renmin-centric (poly ships included! can be fic, socmed, art, etc) you are absolutely welcome to tag or dm us and we'll be happy to retweet and help promote the content for you!

hi guys, i’m mod shroom! i ult renjun and jaemin, so i enjoy writing them most of the time _ i’m in charge of communications, so i’ll be replying to you/managing emails. i’m really excited to work with you and make this fest run by smoothly :D
rules & guidelines!
♥ since this fest is renmin-centric, the main pairing of your fic must include both renjun and jaemin. side ships and characters are 100% allowed, though!
♥ the minimum word count for written works is 1000 words. there will be three check-ins for main rounds, but they will not have minimum word counts. both one-shots and chaptered fics (complete and incomplete) are accepted.
♥ poly pairings (ot3, ot4, etc.) are absolutely welcome in this fest so long as both renjun and jaemin are a part of the relationship! (e.g. renminsung, markrenmin, norenmin)
♥ those participating as writers will need an AO3 account before the submissions period starts. if you need help in getting an invite for AO3, please dm us!
♥ for main rounds, writers and prompters will remain anonymous throughout the fest until reveals. this means that writers cannot reveal what prompt they claimed or post any snippets for wip wednesday. sorry! :(
♥ fics with heavy/possibly triggering themes MUST be tagged appropriately. prompts/fics including non-con, incest, or the sexualization of minors is strictly prohibited and will not be allowed for this fest. (e.g. anything that falls under the non-con or underage archive warnings will NOT be allowed!)
♥ to continue off the last point, PLEASE ensure that your fic has the proper tags so that readers can avoid any content that may be triggering for them! we do survey fics when they are submitted to our collection, but ultimately we are not responsible for irresponsible tagging. please tag responsibly!
♥ plagiarism or ai-generated content is NOT tolerated in this fest. if you see that any works in the fest may be plagiarized or ai-generated, please contact us immediately and we will do our best to resolve the issue.if you have any questions or inquiries involving our rules and guidelines, please contact us through dm or retrospring and we'll do our best to get back to you as soon as we can! 💛💖as a final note, if you do decide to participate in rmf, please do not ghost the mods throughout the fest. we do understand that life happens and most writers won't always be able to be active all the time, but it is your responsibility to contact us and let us know that you will no longer be able to participate. please do dm or email us if this is the case, i promise that we will be understanding!
faq!
will self-prompting be allowed?
yes! writers who are self-prompting will be able to fill out a self-prompt sign-up form that will be released alongside the claiming form when claiming begins.can i be both a prompter and a writer?
of course! send in as many prompts and write as many fics as you desire.can i send in more than one prompt/can i write more than one fic?
yes, you will be able to send as many prompts as you'd like during the prompting period! for fics/claiming prompts, you will only be able to claim one prompt at a time, but once you finish your first fic you'll be able to claim a second!will i be able to claim prompts from previous rounds?
yes! all prompts from r1, 143 week, and r2 are available to adopt. prompt archives and adoption forms can be accessed in the masterlist! please dm us for more information on that.can i ask for an extension on check-ins/submissions?
absolutely! above all else, we want you to communicate with us, so if you need an extension we can grant that! just let us know and we'll work something out with you.more will be added to this faq as we get more questions!
